Kylie Jenner Inspired Lips on a Budget
Lets face it, Kylie Jenner looks amazing these days. She has really come into her own, distinguishing herself from her famous family. I love her unique, quirky, daring rocker sheek style. I also adore her signature lip colour which has taken the beauty and make up industry by storm. I have tried and tested some affordable alternatives to achieve Kylie’s sultry lip colour on a budget! The rich, warm nude shades are perfect for the impending autumn winter ahead. And no, this is not related to her lip fillers or any crazy suction cups. It is simply about re-creating her signature make up look.
The first look was created with Rimmel Colour Rush long lasting intense colour balm in shade 710 Drive Me Nude. I did not line the lips just popped this straight on, so it’s super handy for on the go every day wear. It is a super silky balm that feels really nourishing on the lip and smells DEVINE! It has a really light scent that reminds me of the cupcake dolls I used to have as a child. There is a lovely sheen and it really does stain the lips which gives it a long lasting finish. It has a light weight feel which I love and a twistable end so there is plenty of product. This cost €7.99 in Boots pharmacy in Swords and is my favourite of all products tested.
The next lip products are super affordable. I firstly applied Catrice Lip Liner in shade 150 Vintage Rose which cost €2.49 in Mc Cabes Pharmacy in Swords Pavilions . It contains vitamin C and E and claims to last up to four hours. Mine did last well but I didn’t seem to get four hours.
I also applied Catrice Luminous Lipstick in shade Wood Rose Propose at €4.49 . Both lipstick and liner needed to be re applied but for this super affordable price they are a great addition to every make up bag.
For a more matte finish, which is a look Kylie loves to rock, just apply the liner to the entire lip.
The last look was created with the Catrice liner (as above) and Rimmel Oh my gloss in shade 330 Snog. It has a super high shine and nice colour pay-off and not tacky like some glosses. It contains Argan Oil and Vitamin E so really nourishing on the lip.It doesn’t have any particular amazing smell but it is definitely a gloss I would purchase again. It was €6.99 in Boots Pharmacy in Swords.
My Top Tip – If you want to over line your lips use a shade as close to your natural lip colour as possible!
